RESIDENTIAL (New and Remodel):
One (1) complete set of scaled plan/site plans with foundation plans, and Energy Compliance Calculations on new construction and some remodels.
Turnaround Time: Five (5) working days

COMMERCIAL (Remodel):
Two (2) sets of scaled plans/site plain including site plan, Energy Compliance Calculations, Asbestos Survey, and Texas Department of Architectural Barriers project number. 
Turnaround Time: Fifteen (15) working days.

ARCHITECT/ENGINEER REQUIREMENT:
The Design Professional shall be an Architect or Engineer legally registered under the laws of The State of Texas and shall affix his official seal to said drawings, specifications, and

1. All Group A, E, and I Occupancies
2. Buildings or Structures three stories or more high
3. Buildings or Structures 5,000 square feet or more in area

SWIMMING POOL, SPA OR HOT TUB:
Two (2) sets of plans/site plan with location of required fence and alarms if required.
Turnaround Time: Five (5) working days

SIGNS, FENCES, ACCESSORY BUILDINGS, CARPORTS, ETC.:
Two (2) sets of plans/site plans.
Turnaround Time: Five (5) working days.

CONTRACTOR PERMITS (PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, HVAC, IRRIGATIONS, ETC.):
Completed Permit Application with description of work.
Turnaround Time: Same Day

The basic concept to keep in mind during the construction process is GETTING AND INSPECTION BEFORE ANYTHING IS COVERED. Inspections are required prior to:

• Placing Concrete, Brick, or Sheetrock
• Covering Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical work, or Fire-Sprinkler system
• Covering Insulation
• Covering Floor and Wall Framing
• Commercial Kitchen Hoods and Fire Suppression Systems

These inspections are required to insure that the construction process is proceeding according to the accepted plans and that all current code standards are being met.

It is the contractor's responsibility to schedule all inspections at least 24 hours prior to time needed.  Provide this office with the address and type of inspection needed.
