Schulenburg's retail stores are vital to our economy.  Our turn of the century downtown services to serve residents and tourists alike.  Located throughout the community and along the interstate, specialty shops and family restaurants encourage vacationers to stop in Schulenburg. 

Over 10,000 visitors participated in the recent Painted Church Tour sponsored by our Chamber of Commerce.  In the spring and fall, people flock to the Schulenburg Tri-County Farmers' Market, which offers the best fresh local produce, fruit and flowers available.  Member vendors sell only what they themselves have grown or produced; since no reselling is allowed and the market is certified by the Texas Department of Agriculture. 

Other attractions are Schulenburg's Sports Complex a 24-acre park that includes ball fields, a jogging trail, 2-acre lake, picnic area, restrooms, rodeo arena, and swimming pool.  Tourism is well served in our hometown and this growth sector provides a great opportunity for additional service industries to relocate to Schulenburg to find their success story.
